Two simple questions.
Hi guys, I just wanted to clarify some stuff.
First question, I know this one is pretty noob, but I just want to make sure: Is there any difference between installing the games all in order (like installing Guild Wars Prophecies, then Factions, then Nightfall, then Eye of the North) or randonmly (like installing the Platinum Edition first, then Nightfall, then Factions)? I'm just asking this because I have the Platinum Edition, and I'm thinking of buying the other 2. Second question. This one is just out of curiosity: When I open the Guild Wars icon (Platinum Edition), the Eye of the North menu shows up, normally. After I install Factions and Nightfall, which menu will appear? Or are there different icons for the different versions? I would like if you guys could answer these simple questions. Thanks in advance. |

No matter which campaigns you have installed they use the same gw.exe; so it doesn't matter which order you install, the end result will be the same, there are different icons for each one, but they all point to the same exe, so again doesn't make any difference to the game.

It doesn't matter which order you install them and the Nightfall screen will show up regardless of which games you have installed.

Guild Wars runs mostly online, the only thing you install is the client. Everyone has to download or install nearly all the data whether or not they own the associated content so the latest version you have is the one you want to install. You only need to install one game; ANet will stream the rest of the data to your PC. EotN has the most current gw.dat and gw.exe available on retail disc that I am aware of.
